Hull Rupture Release Date and Launch Details

Hull Rupture releases November 4, 2026 on PC, Mac, and Linux. Here is what Steam has confirmed about the price, launch time, demo, and day-one content.

Last Updated: 2026-10-30

Hull Rupture arrives on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The date comes from Konfa Games' September 14 announcement and is still the date shown on the Steam store page. The store lists Windows, macOS, and Linux, with no console version attached to the launch.

The short version: the date is locked, the price is not, and the demo is still the best way to test the game before launch. The rest of this page separates what is confirmed from what is still missing.

No preorder, no price

Steam has not opened preorders and the price is still unpublished. Wishlist the game if you want the launch notification; there is nothing to buy yet.

What time does Hull Rupture unlock?

Steam shows the date but not an unlock hour. That is normal for a small publisher release: the date field changes when the build is actually released, and the store does not expose a countdown until the package is configured.

Do not plan around a midnight launch. The reliable signal is the Steam client's install button and the store page switching from "Coming soon" to "Add to Cart." Wishlisting the game sends a notification when that happens, which is more useful than guessing a timezone.

If you are writing a launch-day schedule, keep the whole day free rather than a specific hour. TinyBuild has not announced a global unlock map or a pre-load.

How much will Hull Rupture cost?

No price is listed. The store page has no price box, no pre-purchase button, and no deluxe edition. That means there is nothing to pre-order and no official launch discount to plan around.

Two useful anchors are confirmed:

  • The demo is free and does not require the full game.
  • The game is a premium single-player release, not a free-to-play title with a cash shop.

Anything beyond that is speculation. Konfa's previous games sit at different price points, and tinyBuild's catalog ranges from small experimental releases to mid-priced strategy games. A guess based on the studio's history would still be a guess.

The practical advice is to wishlist now and check the store on November 4. If price matters, wait for the first store refresh rather than buying from a key reseller; pre-release key listings often appear before the publisher has set a regional price.

What is included at launch?

The Steam page promises 3 ships, 6 modes, and 4 difficulty levels. That is the broad shape of the release, and it is more useful than a generic feature list because it tells you how the content is structured.

  • Ships change layouts, systems, and loss thresholds. The demo only shows Izumo, a small and maneuverable hull. The other two are meant to support different playstyles, including at least one low-mass, high-speed route.
  • Modes change the win condition or the pressure source. Classic is the 20-wave survival campaign. Trade removes alien attacks and replaces them with economic pressure. Cursed replaces money with humans. Endless becomes its own mode at release.
  • Difficulties sit on top of the mode, not inside it. Guarded galaxy locations, for example, are planned for higher difficulties and trigger extra waves that do not count toward the Classic 20.

The full campaign is still built around 20 days and 20 attack waves. You decode the Galactic Union network, keep the ship moving, and fight off the fleets sent to stop you. A run ends when Despot is destroyed; losing humans is acceptable, losing the ship is not.

Is the demo still available?

Yes. Hull Rupture Demo is a separate free app on Steam (appid 4809240). It includes one starting ship and two modes: Classic and Trade. The demo has been updated repeatedly, most recently with Hull Construction, a reworked post-battle shop, and the Rat Turret.

The demo is not a vertical slice with a separate story. It is the opening of the same run structure: build modules, assign humans, route the ship, and survive waves. If you want to know whether the management layer clicks, two or three demo runs will tell you more than any trailer.

Two caveats matter. First, the demo's balance is not the release balance; patch notes have already changed shop odds, resource costs, and artifact power. Second, Konfa has not announced that demo progress carries into the full game. Assume you start fresh on November 4.

What platforms are confirmed?

Steam lists Windows, macOS, and Linux as supported. The store page also lists Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. There is no PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, or mobile version attached to the launch.

That does not rule out a console port later. It does mean there is no date, no store page, and no official statement to wait for. If you only play on console, the honest answer is that Hull Rupture is a PC-first release with no announced port.

The game is also single-player only. There is no co-op, no multiplayer, and no online requirement beyond Steam itself. That makes it a good candidate for Steam Deck, although Valve has not published a compatibility rating at the time of writing.

What should you do before November 4?

Three things are worth doing now:

  1. Wishlist the game. It is the only reliable launch notification while the price and unlock time are unpublished.
  2. Play the demo with a timer. Give it two runs. The first teaches the interface; the second shows whether the 20-wave loop holds your attention.
  3. Read the systems pages, not just the beginner guide. Hull Construction and the module economy changed late in development, so older previews describe a different game.

If you are deciding between Hull Rupture and another November release, the demo is unusually generous. It contains the core economy, the galaxy map, the shop, and enough waves to show how defense scales. The main thing it cannot show is the full ship roster and the late-game modes.

Will there be a launch day patch?

Almost certainly, but nothing is confirmed. The demo received a patch on September 25 and a major systems update on September 14, both close to release. A day-one patch is normal for a Steam launch, especially for a game that has been in public demo form.

The useful preparation is not to plan around a patch. It is to avoid starting a 10-hour run at midnight if you care about stability. Give the build a few hours, check the Steam announcements, and start when the first hotfix lands if you are sensitive to balance swings.

FAQ

Is Hull Rupture coming to PS5 or Xbox? No. Konfa and tinyBuild have not announced any console version. The November 4 launch is Windows, macOS, and Linux only.

Does Hull Rupture have multiplayer or co-op? No. Steam lists Single-player only. There is no co-op mode and no online play.

Can I play Hull Rupture on Steam Deck? It should run, because the game supports Linux and has modest minimum requirements, but Valve has not issued a Deck compatibility rating. The demo is the safest test.

Is the demo the full game? No. The demo includes one ship and two modes, with a limited slice of the galaxy and progression. The full game adds two more ships, more modes, more artifacts, and the complete campaign.

Will the price be announced before launch? Possibly, but there is no pre-purchase page yet. The price may appear only when the game unlocks. Wishlisting is the only notification you can rely on.

Does Hull Rupture have microtransactions? There is no store page section for them and no in-game currency sold for real money. Treat it as a premium single-player game unless the launch page says otherwise.
